I'm gonna go off on a rant here, so bear with
me.
Now, I've got nothing against anyone's
particular sexual leanings, just as long as they're safe, sane, and consensual,
but why-oh-why do people have to hit the streets and parade around? I'm
heterosexual. I brag about my exploits on occasion, but I've never felt it
necessary to organize a town-wide event of all the local purveyors of
procreation. I understand that some folks feel it's important to get their
message across and gain equality, blah blah blah. However, I and others like
myself have rights too (or at least we used to). I think that's what really bugs
me about all this. Whether I like it or not, I am subjected to a daisy chain
stretching out over 10 city blocks, but if I vent displeasure over that, I'm a
homophobe. No, I'm not. Unless I'm directly involved, I don't care to watch
public displays of hetero sexuality either.
Here in Canada, the gay population has pretty
much everything they've ever asked for…marriage, benefits, etc. Can we stop
parading around now like a damn Fruit Festival? It's time for heterosexuals of
the world to unite and organize their own bid for recognition and equality.
After all, if it weren't for us, gays would never have been born. They owe us.
We have the right to not want anything to do with homosexuality without being
slammed for it. We have the right not to attend their parades and protests
without being labeled homophobes. Now that I've opened up that can of worms, I
think I'll slip on a leather skirt, fishnets, hooker boots and go trolling.
Talk to you soon.
